Research Interests
I integrate field-based observations, petrology, and high-precision geochemical analyses to address questions spanning mantle processes, subduction recycling, and planetary differentiation.
My previous research focused on the cycling of chalcophile elements and associated volatiles at convergent margins. In particular, I investigated how subduction-related recycling processes can enhance the metallogenic potential of metasomatized sub-continental lithospheric mantle, using mantle-derived rocks and magmas as natural proxies.
Currently, my work centers on moderately volatile elements in a range of achondrites. This work aims to better understand how volatile elements are depleted during the differentiation of planetesimals and terrestrial planets, and to provide constraints on planetary formation and evolution.
Analytical Expertise
Trace element analysis using quadrupole ICP-MS (Q-ICP-MS)
High-precision determination of siderophile and chalcophile elements using isotope dilution and HR-ICP-MS (Element XR)
Radiogenic isotope systems (e.g., Sr, Nd, Hf, Os) and stable isotopes (e.g., S) measured by MC-ICP-MS and TIMS
