Research Interests

  • Micropaleontology, Foraminiferal geochemistry, Paleoclimatology.
  • Understanding the paleo-hydroclimate evolution of the Atacama Desert using foraminifera and focusing on its coupling with the Humboldt Current System.
  • Foraminifera shell geochemistry (δ18O, δ13C, Mg/Ca, ƐNd) to evaluate sea surface temperatures and reconstruct the properties of the Humboldt Current System by tracing its associated water masses in the Southern Pacific Ocean off the coast of Chile.
